On Wednesday the 13th June 2018, members of Granite Lodge journeyed to London to visit the Quarterly Communication of Grand Lodge.
Starting off with an 8:30am train from Leicester Station, the six representatives from Granite Lodge made their way down to a busy St.Pancras Station to enjoy a spot of breakfast as the first stop on the way to Great Queens Street.
As usual, the day had been meticulously planned by W.Bro. Martin Stevenson to take into account breakfast, lunch, and sinner before the journey home. After breakfast and a short walk, Grand Lodge beckoned as they managed to keep to the planned 11:30am arrival time.
The proceedings began at 12 noon, as over 1,500 from across the UK gathered to here the business of the day, followed by a fascinating insight into the Library & Museum at Freemasons' Hall, Great Queens Street, by Doctor Vicky Carroll, Director of the Library & Museum of Freemasonry.
With a few hours to wait until the train home, several local public houses were visited before a superb fish supper and then finally the journey home.
An excellent day, which is very much recommended to others.
